Soaring to the Future: Grace3’s 5th Annual Teen Tech Summit Electrifies Philadelphia

July, 16-17, 2025 · 5 min. read

On July 17th, Franklin Field at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia transformed into a massive, hands-on laboratory for the 5th Annual Teen Tech Summit—rebranded this year as the Soar Summit. Grace3 Technologies successfully introduced more than 250 ambitious public middle and high school students to the cutting edge of aviation, robotics, and emerging technology.

Students participating from vital community organizations—including the Philadelphia Police Athletic League, NOMO Foundation, and We Love Philly—spent the day immersed in experiential learning, getting a direct look at the technologies shaping tomorrow's careers.

The goal of the Soar Summit is simple but powerful: to diversify the tech workforce by giving underrepresented youth direct access to advanced technology.

Students didn't just hear lectures; they took the controls. They learned about:

  • Autonomous Drones: Flying advanced drones, including hands-on experience with technology used in public safety and enterprise.
  • Tactical Robotics: Interacting with and learning about ground robotics and equipment used by first responders.
  • Virtual Reality & AI: Exploring immersive learning environments and the foundational principles of artificial intelligence.

This unique, hands-on approach sparked imagination and demonstrated clear pathways from the classroom to high-demand careers in technology and public safety.

An event of this scale and impact is only possible through the dedication of incredible partners. Grace3 Technologies extends its deepest gratitude to our Impact Partners who brought their technology, expertise, and commitment to the students:

Skydio, Philadelphia Police Department, Verizon, Drone Cadets, Axon, PennGSE, LiveU, PoliceReports.ai, and JetSolutions.

The Soar Summit was honored by the presence and support of key legislative and community leaders who recognize the importance of investing in Philadelphia's youth and STEM education:

A special thank you to State Representative Jordan Harris (Appropriations Chair), Anthony Luker of the PA Governor's Office, and Debora Carrera from the Mayor's Office of Education for their continued advocacy and support of programs that empower the next generation of tech leaders.

The 5th Annual Soar Summit was more than just a day of technology; it was a resounding success that underscored the commitment of Grace3, its partners, and Philadelphia's leaders to equitable access and opportunity in the tech industry. We look forward to seeing what these inspiring students build next!
